Vent and light fixture cleaning
Dirty vents leave dark streaks across the ceiling, and dusty fixtures dim the whole room. We clean both, and the difference is obvious the moment the lights come on.
The vents in your ceiling move air all day, and the dust in that air settles on the diffuser and the ceiling around it. That’s where the dark rings and streaks come from.
We clean diffusers, return grilles and the ceiling around them, along with light lenses, trims and fixtures. Rooms look cleaner and lighting looks brighter and more even.
It’s a quick, high-impact upgrade, and it pairs perfectly with ceiling tile cleaning for a complete refresh.
Step by step
01
Supply diffusers, returns, exhaust grilles, lenses and trims.
02
Diffusers and grilles are cleaned along with the ceiling around them.
03
Lenses, trims and housings so light output looks even again.
04
Tile or ceiling cleaning fits the same visit, so the whole plane finishes even.
Not every vent marks a ceiling the same way. Supply diffusers push air outward across the surface, so their marks spread in a ring or follow the direction of the blades. Return grilles pull air in, collecting dust on the grille face and darkening the edges of the opening. Exhaust grilles in restrooms and break rooms build up a film of their own, and our guide to dark smudges around ceiling vents explains why the rings form.
Each one is cleaned together with the ceiling around it, so no outline is left behind once the vent is bright again. On an office floor, vents are spread through every room, and once the tiles are clean they become the first thing a visitor notices. That’s why every diffuser and grille is counted at the walkthrough and listed in the written plan.
Light lenses, louvers and trims collect a film that dims output and makes some fixtures look warmer or duller than their neighbors. In open offices, retail floors and lobbies, that unevenness reads as a patchy room. Cleaning lenses, trims and housings together brings each row back to a consistent brightness, and exit signs set into the ceiling get the same care. The method for each fixture type is set out in how commercial light fixtures are cleaned.
This service fits neatly into a visit already booked for acoustic tile cleaning or a full commercial ceiling clean. On its own, it is a quick refresh between deeper ceiling work, done in an evening so the room opens brighter the next morning.
Vent and fixture cleaning is priced per unit: each diffuser, return grille, exhaust grille and light fixture is counted, the rate reflects its type, and the ring of ceiling around each diffuser is usually priced with it. A flat lay-in panel wipes quickly, while parabolic louvers, lensed troffers, pendants and track heads with many small parts take far longer, and heavy smudging or film adds time. A medical suite with a diffuser in every exam room adds up differently than an open office with a few large returns, and our pricing guide shows how the counts become a quote.
A few useful answers
Immediately. Clean vents and fixtures change how the whole ceiling looks.
Yes. Pairing the two gives the whole ceiling a complete refresh in one visit.
Yes, evenings and weekends are available.
Air moving through the diffuser carries fine dust that settles on the ceiling right around it. Cleaning removes the rings.
The diffuser or grille face, its blades and frame, and the ceiling ring around it, so the whole vent looks new.
Yes. Recessed cans, pendants and decorative fixtures are cleaned along with their trims, with the floor below covered first.
Rings around diffusers usually return before the tiles dull, so a vent and fixture visit between full ceiling cleanings keeps everything even. We suggest an interval once we see how quickly your rings come back.
